Maduyen Keita, co-founder of Betako, combines forward-thinking innovation with deep professional and personal experience—from surviving war-torn Liberia to living and working in the inner cities of New York. With a Licensed Master of Social Work degree and clinical specialization from Hunter College Silberman School of Social Work, she brings expertise in trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and holistic approaches to mental and behavioral health. Her work spans child safety, family reunification, risk and strength-based assessments, community engagement, and therapeutic case management. As a holistic therapist, she designs individualized treatment plans, facilitates groups, and empowers clients to make informed health and wellness choices. Drawing on her background in diverse community programs, she is skilled at interdisciplinary collaboration, advocacy, and culturally inclusive practice. Through Betako, Ms. Keita leverages her commitment to ethical, human-centered approaches by integrating technology with mental wellness to foster resilience, awareness, and sustainable change for individuals and families.
